About SVSU
The notice describes Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Dudhola (Palwal), as India's first Government Skill University, established by the Government of Haryana Act 25, 2016, in Dudhola, Palwal, Haryana. The engagement is purely on a contractual basis.
Department-wise Vacancies
The vacancy shown is indicative and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the University at the time of selection. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post advertised without assigning any reason.
Qualification and Experience
The notice prints no separate experience requirement for this post. Further points from the notice:
- Holders of a Ph.D. awarded under the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
- The foreign Ph.D. option (B) needs a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking at any time by QS, Times Higher Education (THE) or ARWU of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
- Candidates registered for a Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 are governed by the rules of the awarding institution and are exempt from NET/SLET/SET if five conditions are met: regular mode; thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners; open viva voce; two research papers from the Ph.D. work, at least one in a refereed journal; and two papers presented at UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar sponsored conferences.
- NET/SLET/SET is not required for Master's programmes in disciplines for which the test is not conducted.
- Applicants registered for a Ph.D. on or after 11 July 2009 must submit a valid certificate of compliance with the UGC Regulations 2009/2016, or the Ph.D. will not be considered.
- Qualifications and experience are determined as on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Time taken to acquire an M.Phil. or Ph.D. is not counted as teaching/research experience, subject to the latest Government of Haryana instructions.
- Degrees from open universities or distance mode must be recognised by the Distance Education Council, IGNOU, for the period of study, or they are not accepted.
Nationality, language and age
The candidate must be a citizen of India. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to matric or at a higher level is essential. The age limit is "As per UGC"; the notice prints no age cut-off date. The retirement age will be 60 years as per University rules.

The fee is paid online at https://forms.eduqfix.com/svsurectff/add, and the payment slip must be enclosed with the application form. The fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. Reservation and fee concession are given only to domiciles of Haryana State.
Pay and Terms
- Pay: consolidated Rs. 57,700/- per month.
- Contract: the initial period is six months. It can be extended on the basis of performance and work, or till the regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
- The University may re-engage the Skill Assistant Professor if further staff is required, based on performance and the work and conduct report. This cannot be claimed as of right.
- No claim of regularization or extension will be entertained. The University may terminate the contract without assigning any reason.
- Allowances, provision and gratuity admissible to regular teachers are not given. Medical Reimbursement and LTC are not admissible.
- Casual leave is one day per month, up to a maximum of 5 days in the six-month contract. Medical/sick leave is one per calendar month, up to a maximum of 5 days. Maternity leave is as admissible under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
- No contract amount is payable for absence from duty. Continuous unapproved absence of more than 5 days ends the service automatically.
- The engagement can be ended on one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of notice, on either side.
- TA/DA is payable for official tours at par with other employees, as per University policy. No TA/DA is payable for attending any test or interview.
- No No Objection Certificate is issued for Ph.D. enrolment. Registration in a Ph.D. in this University or outside ends the engagement automatically.
Selection Process
The notice describes a written test, scrutiny of those who qualify, shortlisting on academic score, and a final selection on a composite score that includes a PPT presentation and an interview.
Written test
All applicants are first allowed to appear in the written test without checking eligibility. Securing minimum 40% marks is mandatory (38% for DSC/OSC/BC/PwBD). Only applicants who qualify are scrutinised for eligibility. The structure and syllabus of the test will be uploaded on the University website in due course.
Shortlisting
Only eligible and test-qualified applicants are considered for shortlisting on an academic score out of 100: academic record 80, research publications 10, teaching experience 10. Shortlisted candidates are called for interview in a ratio of 1:15 for the first post, and the University decides the number called.
- Graduation: 80% and above = 15; 60% to less than 80% = 13; 55% to less than 60% = 10; 45% to less than 55% = 05.
- Post-graduation: 80% and above = 25; 60% to less than 80% = 23; 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/PWD) to less than 60% = 20.
- M.Phil.: 60% and above = 07; 55% to less than 60% = 05. Ph.D. = 30. M.Phil. plus Ph.D. maximum 30.
- NET with JRF = 07; NET = 05; SLET/SET = 03. JRF/NET/SET maximum 07.
- Research publications: 2 marks for each paper in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, maximum 10.
- Teaching/post-doctoral experience: 2 marks for each year, maximum 10, reduced proportionately for less than a year.
- Awards: national/international level 03; state level 02; maximum 03 in the awards category.
Final selection
A candidate who fails to secure at least 50% composite marks (47.5% for DSC/OSC/BC/PwBD) is not considered suitable. A tie in composite score goes to the older applicant, and if the date of birth is the same, to the candidate who acquired the essential degree earlier.

- Fill in the Application Form for Contractual Positions printed in the notice, with a signed recent passport size photograph, and sign every page.

- Attach self-attested copies of all supporting documents and certificates.

- Make sure it reaches by 27 November 2026, up to 4.00 P.M. Applications received after the last date are rejected.
A separate application form with the prescribed fee is required for each post. Persons in employment should send applications through their employer; they may send an advance copy on the prescribed form with fee and copies of certificates. The notice does not state a particular sending method or envelope wording.
Documents Required
- Signed application form with passport size photograph, and the online fee payment slip.
- Self-attested copies of all certificates and testimonials; weightage is counted only for documents whose copies are attached.
- PwBD certificate from the Competent Authority; candidates claiming ESM/PwBD benefit must also fill their own category (General/DSC/OSC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS).
- Backward Class (A and B) candidates: Haryana non-creamy layer certificate and an Income Certificate issued after 31.03.2025.
- EWS certificate on the prescribed proforma, issued after 31.03.2026 and valid for 2026-27. Certificates issued for Central Government jobs are not accepted for OBC or EWS.
- ESM/DESM: fresh eligibility certificate from the concerned Zila Sainik Board. DSC/OSC: the requisite Haryana certificate. Women seeking category reservation: certificate from the parental side only.
- Valid proof of journal status and authorship, legible copies of claimed research papers, the CGPA conversion document, and the Ph.D. UGC Regulations certificate where applicable.
- Experience certificate showing period, designation and pay, supported by PF statement, Form 16, Bank Statement or other valid proof of salary.
Important Instructions
- Reserved category applicants of Haryana for whom no post is reserved may apply for the General Category if they meet all General eligibility conditions, and attach caste certificates for fee concession.
- Reserved category applicants of other states are considered only for General Category posts and pay the fee accordingly.
- Applicants who fail to submit the required reservation certificates are considered against Unreserved posts only.
- No change in category is allowed after submission of the application form.
- Original documents must be produced for verification before or at the time of interview, if called.
- Candidates must visit the University website for corrigenda, selection criteria, test and interview dates and the list of shortlisted candidates. No such information will be published in newspapers.
- A selected candidate must submit a Service Contract/Agreement on stamp paper worth Rs. 101/- and a medical fitness report from the CMO, Palwal or a competent Medical Authority at joining.
- Incorrect information or concealment of facts leads to cancellation of candidature at any time, in addition to legal action.
- All disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the Palwal Court only.
