Where and How to Send

1. Fill in the prescribed form: post applied for, name, father's / husband's name, date of birth, age, marital status, Aadhar number, category (UR / SEBC / SC / ST), gender, religion, nationality, permanent and present address, educational qualifications, contact numbers and e-mail ID (if any).
2. Sign the declaration on the form, with date and place.
3. Attach self-attested copies of the documents listed under Enclosures and tick the ones enclosed.
4. Superscribe the envelope with "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT COOK IN BOYS HOSTEL".
5. Send the filled-in application with all documents to: PRINCIPAL ODISHA ADARSHA VIDYALAYA, AT- SANSOLE, PO - RANGAMATIA, VIA - SHAMAKHUNTA, DIST- MAYURBHANJ, PIN - 757049, ODISHA.
6. Use Speed / Registered post only, so that the application reaches the Vidyalaya by 25/11/2026, 5 PM.

The authority will not be responsible for any postal delay, so the date that counts is the date the application is received, not the date it is posted.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

The advertisement has one post, Assistant Cook, with 02 vacancies, for the Boys' Hostel. Only male candidates are invited.

Educational Qualification

The official notification does not specify the minimum educational qualification. The application form asks for details of Matric/HSC, Inter/+2, B.A./B.Sc. and any other examination passed, and the HSC, +2 and B.A./B.Sc. certificates are to be attached "if any".

Other Requirements

• Must be in position to stay in the hostel 24x7.
• Must be well conversant of using LPG.
• Must have good cooking habits.
• Ability to cook any dishes on time with due care towards hygiene and deliciousness.
• Preference and due weightage will be given to the individual trained in cookery.

Local Candidates and District Condition

• Preference shall be given to local candidates.
• If candidates are not available in that locality, the block will be taken as a unit.
• If candidates are still not available, candidates from nearby blocks may be selected.
• No candidates from outside the district should be engaged against the post.

Age Limit

The age limit is 21 to 32 years as on the date of advertisement. The advertisement is dated 05/11/2026. The notice does not mention any age relaxation.

Pay and Engagement

The remuneration is Rs 6750/- per month, and this amount includes the EPF share of both the employee and the employer. The engagement is for one year. On expiry of the one-year period, a fresh engagement shall be made with a gap of at least one working day, based on the satisfactory performance of the employee.

Selection Process

Efficiency level carries a maximum of 2 points and is to be assessed by members of SLSC during document verification. It covers physical aptitude, hygiene consciousness, technical skill, reliability, experience in cookery, ability to stay 24x7, ability to handle critical situations, confidence, behaviour, team spirit and responsibility.
