The walk-in interview for 4 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts under Samagra Shiksha, Diu will be held on 25 November 2026 at 09:30 A.M. at Government Higher Secondary School Diu. The Directorate of Education, U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu is engaging one PGT each in History, Geography, Statistics and Business Studies, purely on Short Term Contract (STC) basis for the Academic Year 2026-27, at a fixed remuneration of ₹ 29000/- per month.

About Samagra Shiksha Diu Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

Samagra Shiksha is described in the notice as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS), run in Diu by the Directorate of Education, U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The notice is issued from the Office of the District Education Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Seva Bhavan, Second Floor, Diu - 362520, and is signed by the Additional Director (Education), Diu. Posts and Eligibility

All four posts are Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts, one per subject, all in English medium and all on the same fixed remuneration.

Essential Qualification

A candidate must meet one of the two qualification routes printed in the notice:

1. Post Graduate from recognized University in respective subject with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution; or
2. Post Graduate with at least 50% marks from recognized University in respective subject and B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

Medium condition: for medium-specific teachers, the medium of study in SSC should be the same as the medium in which the candidate is applying. The notice adds that this is not applicable for language subjects such as Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi and English. All four posts in this notice are English medium.

Age Limit

The age limit is not exceeding 30 years. The upper age limit is relaxable as per Orders/Guidelines issued by the Central Government from time to time. The notice does not print a cut-off date for counting age; the application form asks for age in years, months and days "as on last date of Application".

What to Bring

• The application in the prescribed format (the form on pages 3 and 4 of the notice), with the post and subject ticked and a self-attested recent passport size photograph pasted on it.
• The signed declaration printed with the form.
• Self-attested copies of all relevant documents/certificates.
• Supporting documents named on the form: Leaving Certificate, Caste Certificate, SSC, HSC, Graduation, Post Graduation, Professional qualification and Experience Certificate.
• Original documents, which must be produced for verification at the time of interview.

The application form asks for name, father's name, residential address, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, gender, caste category (SC/ST/OBC/Un-reserved), whether the candidate belongs to the Physically Handicapped or another special category, marital status, domicile of DNH/Daman/Diu, medium of study in SSC, education details (SSC, HSC, Graduation, Post Graduation, B.Ed. with board/university, year, marks and percentage), experience and any other achievements related to the post.

What Happens on the Day

Selection on 25 November 2026 has two stages:

1. Written Test – conducted for PGTs on the same day, before the interview.
2. Interview – only candidates securing a minimum of 40% marks in the written test are eligible for the interview. Original documents are verified at the time of the interview.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely on a Short Term Contract (STC) basis under Samagra Shiksha, Diu for the Academic Year 2026-27.
• Selected candidates shall have no claim or right for regular appointment in the Department.
• The engagement shall automatically stand terminated upon completion of the contract period or as per the directions issued by the Administration from time to time.
