Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Home Science or Social Work or Home Science or Sociology or B.Sc. (Home Science/Community Science)
• Age limit: 18 to 40 years (as on the last date fixed for submitting applications)
• Age relaxation: Category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Maximum 43 years, SC/ST/Category-1 Maximum 45 years, Karnataka Government / local authority / corporation employees Years of service or 10 years, whichever is less, Ex-servicemen Period of service plus 3 years, Former full-time NCC Cadet Instructors Years of service as Cadet Instructor, Grama Samooha Parishilaka under State rural employment scheme Years of service as Grama Samooha Parishilaka, Persons with disabilities 10 years, Census Organisation employees in Karnataka Years of service or 5 years, whichever is less, Widows 10 years, Released bonded labourers 10 years

Other conditions:

• Only women candidates may apply
• Must be a citizen of India
• In-service quota (7 posts) only for WCD Department women employees with a pay scale lower than Female Supervisor
• Kannada Language Test compulsory unless Kannada studied as first or second language in SSLC or higher
• Must be mentally and physically fit
• Woman married to a person having a living wife needs prior Government permission

Who Cannot Apply for KEA Recruitment 2026

• Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying degree on the last date
• Candidates with qualifications other than those prescribed
• Persons permanently debarred by UPSC, any State PSC or KEA
• Persons convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, until the Government decides otherwise

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Probation of two years for candidates selected by direct recruitment
• National Pension Scheme (NPS) applies

How Will KEA Select Candidates?

• Competitive examination: Paper-1 (General Knowledge) and Paper-2 (Specific Paper)
• Compulsory Kannada Language Test (qualifying, unless exempted)
• Original document verification
• Paper-1 covers General Knowledge topics including current events, science, history, Constitution, Karnataka economy and mental ability (SSLC level)
• Paper-2 is a specific paper; its syllabus is published separately
• Minimum 35% marks in the competitive examination needed to qualify
• Kannada Language Test: 150 marks, minimum 50 to qualify, SSLC first-language standard; marks not counted for selection
• Sports achievers get weightage marks as per Government notification dated 03-10-2026

KEA Exam Pattern 2026

• Exam in Online (CBT) or Offline-OMR mode
• 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• In OMR, shade the 5th option for unanswered questions; 0.25 mark deducted if no option is shaded
• Paper-1 and Paper-2 dates to be announced later

Documents to Enclose

• Aadhaar card
• Degree marks cards of all subjects/semesters and provisional/convocation certificate obtained by the last date
• SSLC or equivalent certificate / school transfer certificate / birth record extract showing date of birth
• Caste/reservation certificates in prescribed forms with RD number, valid on the last date
• Rural, Kannada medium, ex-serviceman, PwD, transgender or sports achiever certificates, if claimed
• Service certificate from appointing authority for in-service WCD candidates

How to Apply for KEA Recruitment 2026 Online

1. Visit the KEA website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ and select the link provided.
2. Fill in the application online from 03.11.2026 to 28.11.2026.
3. Enter the correct RD number of reservation certificates in the online application.
4. Upload photograph (JPEG, white background, 50KB-200KB) and signature in black ink (JPEG, 50KB-70KB).
5. Pay the fee online only by 29.11.2026.
6. No modification or correction is allowed once the application is submitted.

Other Points to Note

• No change of examination centre for any reason
• Carry admit card and an original photo ID to the examination centre
