DLSA Nuapada Para Legal Volunteers Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nuapada is selecting Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs) for DLSA Nuapada and the Taluk Legal Services Committees (TLSCs) of Khadial, Sinapali and Boden under Notification No. 01/2026, dated 03.11.2026. Only local residents of Nuapada District may apply. Applicants from Nuapada and Komna Blocks send the application to DLSA, ADR Building, District Court Complex, Nuapada, PIN-766 105. Applicants from Khadial, Sinapali and Boden blocks send it to their own TLSC. The application must reach the office on or before 15 December 2026 (05:00 pm). The notice states that a PLV appointment is not a job. It carries only an honorarium fixed by OSLSA.

About DLSA Nuapada

The District Legal Services Authority, Nuapada works from the ADR Centre Building, District Court Complex, Nuapada- 766 105 (Tel. No. 06678-225336, e-mail: [email protected]). The PLVs are selected under the Scheme for Para-Legal Volunteers (Revised), 2009, which was framed by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). The notice says a copy of the scheme is enclosed with it. The selected volunteers will serve under DLSA Nuapada and the TLSCs at Khadial, Sinapali and Boden.

Where and How to Send

The office you send your application to depends on your block. The application must reach that office on or before 15 December 2026 (05:00 pm). The notice does not name a postal mode. It also does not say what to write on the envelope.

The application form is printed with the notice. It is titled "Application for engagement of PLV at DLSA, Nuapada/TLSC, Khadial/Sinapali/Boden". The notice gives these steps:

1. Fill up the form in capital letters, ticking the options that apply.
2. Affix a self-attested recent colour passport size photograph in the box on the form.
3. Give the details the form asks for:
   • name and father's or husband's name;
   • gender and marital status;
   • permanent address and present address;
   • date of birth;
   • contact number and e-mail ID;
   • category (General/SC/ST/OBC);
   • educational qualifications, other skills and work experience;
   • place of preference to work at (name of Block/Panchayat/NAC);
   • computer knowledge (Typing (MS Word)/Excel/Video editing/Graphic Designing/other);
   • achievements in the fields of law or social work.
4. Complete the "Express Willingness to work as a PLV" pledge and sign the Declaration, with date and place.
5. Attach the self-attested copies listed under Enclosures.
6. Send the application to the office for your block so that it reaches by 15.12.2026 (05:00 pm).

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Applications are invited only from individual local residents of Nuapada District. To apply for selection as a Para Legal Volunteer, an applicant should meet these conditions:

• He/she must be a citizen of India.
• He/she shall be literate, preferably a Matriculate or its equivalent, with a capacity for overall comprehension.
• He/she should bear a good moral character.

The notice does not mention an age limit. Candidates should check the official notification for any further eligibility details of the scheme.

Groups from whom Para-Legal Volunteers can be selected

• Teachers (including retired teachers)
• Ex-Servicemen
• Retired Government servants/Forest Officials and Senior Citizens
• M.S.W students and teachers
• Anganwadi Workers
• Transgenders
• Doctors/Physicians
• Students & Law Students (till they enroll as lawyers)
• Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and Clubs
• Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self-Help Groups, including those of marginalized/vulnerable groups
• Educated prisoners with good behaviour, serving long term sentences in prisons
• Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority or Taluk Legal Services Committee deems fit to be identified as PLVs

Honorarium

The notice states: "The appointment of PLV is not a job and it does not carry any salary, remuneration or wages except honorarium fixed by OSLSA from time to time." The notice does not print the amount of the honorarium. In the application pledge, the applicant promises to work voluntarily as a Para Legal Volunteer.

• Self-attested work experience certificates, if any
• Supporting documents for other skills, computer knowledge and achievements in law or social work, if claimed in the form
• Self-attested recent colour passport size photograph affixed on the form

Selection Process

The PLVs will be selected by a Committee headed by the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Nuapada. The selection works as follows:

• The Selection Committee may use its discretion to shortlist candidates for interview, depending on the number of applications received.
• The Selection Committee will decide the basis of screening and elimination after receiving the applications.
• Women will be given preference while selecting PLVs.
• Representation from suitable applicants belonging to S.C/S.T./Minorities and Other Backward Classes must be ensured.
• Preferably, PLVs will be selected from persons who do not look up to the income from their services as PLVs. They should have the mindset to assist the needy in society, with compassion, empathy and concern for the upliftment of marginalized and weaker sections.

The interview date has not been announced in the notice.

Important Instructions

• Incomplete applications shall be rejected without assigning any reason.
• No application will be entertained after the last date fixed.
• No T.A/D.A will be provided to applicants for appearing in the interview.
• Under the declaration, an applicant's enrolment is liable to be cancelled or terminated instantly in any of these cases:
  • false information is found at any stage;
  • the applicant fails to show interest in the scheme;
  • the applicant is adjudged insolvent or is accused of any offence;
  • the applicant becomes physically or mentally incapable of acting as a PLV;
  • the applicant abuses the position by misconduct;
  • the applicant affiliates to any political party, partially or fully.
• The notice has also been sent for display to the Collector-cum-D.M, Nuapada, the Registrar, Civil Courts, Nuapada, the TLSCs, Bar Associations and colleges of Nuapada district.
