Delhi Jal Board Member Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Delhi Jal Board, Government of N.C.T. of Delhi, is filling the posts of Member (Water Supply) and Member (Drainage) on nomination basis in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix (₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200). The posts are open to serving engineer officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Organisations. About DJB

The Delhi Jal Board came into existence under the aegis of the Urban Development Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, through a statutory legislation on 02.04.1998. As the notice describes it, the Board is responsible for treatment and distribution of water supply, regulation and management of exploitation of groundwater in consultation with CGWA, and collection, treatment and disposal of sewage within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Serving officers who meet the eligibility conditions may apply through proper channel, on offline mode, in the prescribed proforma. 1. Fill the "Format of Application" (Annex-A) enclosed with the advertisement. The application format is also available on the website of Delhi Jal Board.
2. Submit a separate application for Member (Water Supply) and for Member (Drainage) if applying for both.
3. Get the Certificate on the last page of the form completed and forwarded by the Head of your Organization, with office seal.
4. Attach the enclosures listed below, including Vigilance Clearance, NOC, Integrity Certificate and APARs/ACRs for the last five years.
5. Super-scribe the envelope "APPLICTION FOR THE POST OF ______", writing the post you are applying for.
6. Send it so that it reaches the Director (A&P) within 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.

Applications received after the expiry of 30 days from the date of publication shall not be entertained, and an application received after the closing date is liable to be rejected.

What the Application Form Asks For

• Advertisement date, post applied for, full name in block letters, father's/spouse name, date of birth and age on closing date, and category (General/SC/ST/OBC).
• Educational/technical qualifications in chronological order from matriculation onwards, with university or board, duration, year of passing, subjects, specialisation and division/class and percentage of marks.
• Service record from the first job to current employment: employer, designation, whether ad hoc/regular/permanent, period, total period, scale of pay and grade pay, and nature of duties.
• Total experience in years, computer skills, and courses or certifications.
• Correspondence, office and permanent addresses with PIN codes, phone numbers and e-mail ID, plus other information such as publications, memberships and awards.
• Vigilance status: suspension, pending charge sheet or disciplinary proceeding, pending criminal prosecution, and penalties imposed in the last 10 years; then a list of enclosures and a signed declaration.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

The eligibility conditions come from Section 3(2)(VII) and (VIII) of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998, and are open to serving officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Organisations.

Member (Water Supply)

• Must be an engineer drawing pay not less than that of a Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
• Must have specialized knowledge and experience in the matters relating to water supply.

Member (Drainage)

• Must be an engineer drawing pay scale not less than that of a Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
• Must have specialized knowledge and experience in the matters related to drainage.

Pay, Allowances and Terms

• The pay of the officials selected will be regulated with DoP&T Order No. 6/8/2009-Estt (Pay II), New Delhi dated 17 June, 2010 (amended from time to time).
• In addition to pay, DA/HRA and other allowances are payable as admissible to the employees of the Corporation.
• Nomination is initially for the period of three years.
• The officer nominated would be termed on deputation and will be governed by standard terms and conditions of deputation as applicable from time to time.

• Integrity Certificate.
• Attested copies of APARs/ACRs for the last five years.

• Certificate from the Head of Organization confirming the particulars, that no disciplinary/vigilance proceedings are pending or contemplated, the officer's integrity, any penalties imposed, recommendation of the application and that the officer will be relieved if selected.

Selection Process

Selection is through screening and an interview, if one is held. Mere fulfilment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview; the Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for holding the interview.

• At the interview, if any, candidates should bring original testimonials of all qualifications and experience in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification.
• A "No Objection Certificate"/waiver of cooling off, as the case may be, from the parent department/present employer must be furnished at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA shall be paid to the short-listed candidate for attending the interview, if any.
