VNMKV Senior Research Fellow and Field Assistant Eligibility 2026

Age limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years. The application form asks for age on the date of interview.

• M.Sc.(Agri.) final year students who have submitted their thesis will be considered for the interview. If selected, they have to produce their Provisional Degree Certificate while joining.
• Only candidates having the essential qualifications will be entertained for the interview.
• Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, Physically Challenged, Ex-Serviceman and Women candidates is as per Govt. Rules.

Selection Process

1. If more applications are received, they will be shortlisted on merit, based on academic performances and experience.
2. Only 1:5 proportionate shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee.

Reporting: 10:30 a.m. at the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani. Late arrival after 11:00 AM will be considered as absent. No call letters will be issued, and no TA/DA or other expenses will be paid for attending.

Service Conditions

• The posts are purely temporary and contractual, initially up to 31 March 2027. They may be extended based on performance or till the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
• The project period is printed as starting in 2026-27, with its end year printed as "20230-31".
• Place of work is the Sorghum Research Station, Parbhani. The selected candidate joins under the Officer Incharge & Sorghum Breeder and Principal Investigator, NMHYS.
• The positions are non-regular, time bound and co-terminus with the project, so selected candidates cannot claim a regular appointment.
• The candidate must give an undertaking not to leave the assignment half way and to complete the seed target in the prescribed time limit.
• Leaving the post requires one-month prior notice, failing which one month's amount must be remitted in lieu of notice.
• The selected candidate has to execute a bond on stamp paper as per university rule.
• The Director of Research may terminate the contract before the project ends, and no appeal will be entertained.

5. Attend the interview at the venue with the documents listed below.

• NET/equivalent certificates and mark-sheets
• Proof of experience and publications
• No objection certificate from the employer, for candidates who are employed

• One set of self-attested photocopies of certificates
• Original certificates for verification
• Two copies of a recent passport size photo

Concealing facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination. The Director of Research reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview, or cancel specific posts, without assigning any reason. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of Parbhani Court only.
