Experience
- Supervisor (Nesting): Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in Nesting, related to Plate Processing / CNC Cutting / Production Planning / CAD-CAM in a Shipbuilding, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment. Out of 10 years, at least 2 years of experience must be in a Supervisory grade.
- Supervisor (Mechanical): Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in Piping / Machinery / Structural outfitting functions in a Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment. Out of 10 years, at least 2 years of experience must be in a Supervisory grade.

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Age Limit
The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 45 years as on 9 November 2026, meaning applicants should be born on or after 29 October 1981.

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Salary
Monthly emoluments as on date include Basic Pay of ₹ 28,000, DA at 55.7% (₹ 15,596), HRA at 10% (₹ 2,800), and Perks & Allowances at 35% (₹ 10,500), bringing the total to ₹ 56,896. Additional benefits include National Pension System, Contributory Provident Fund, Accident Insurance coverage, Reimbursement of Medical expenses under Contributory Medical Insurance policy, and leave encashment.

The application fee must be remitted online using Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking from 07 October 2026 to 9 November 2026. No other mode of payment is accepted.
Udupi Cochin Shipyard Selection Process
The selection process comprises Phase I (Offline Written test consisting of an Objective Type Test for 40 Marks and a Descriptive Type Test for 40 Marks) and Phase II (Power Point presentation on work experience for 20 Marks).
Phase I - Objective Type Test
The objective type test is of 45 minutes duration with 40 total questions carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking. The structure is detailed below:
Phase I - Descriptive Type Test
The descriptive type written test carries 40 marks and is of 90 minutes duration, comprising discipline-related questions.
Minimum Pass Marks
For Unreserved posts, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% of total marks. For ST candidates, the minimum pass mark is 40% of total marks.
Phase II - Power Point Presentation
Shortlisted candidates attend Phase II, which is a PowerPoint presentation of not more than 10 minutes highlighting their work experience.

- Go through the User Manual and FAQ before filling out the online application.
- Complete the One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal.
- Fill in the application form with accurate details and exact percentage of marks.
- Upload required certificates for proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste, disability, and a recent passport-size color photograph.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹ 400/- online using Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking (if applicable).
- Submit the application and ensure the application status shows "In process".
- Download and retain a soft copy or printout of the online application containing the unique registration number generated by the system.
Udupi Cochin Shipyard Important Instructions
- Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying; fees once paid will not be refunded.
- Incomplete applications, withdrawn applications, or applications in draft status will be rejected.
- Candidates need not send the application printout, certificates, or fee challan by post to Udupi Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
- Post-qualification experience acquired after the date of passing the stipulated qualification will be reckoned as of 9 November 2026.
- Selected candidates shall be placed in the minimum of the pay scale and pay protection will not be considered.
- The posting shall be at Udupi CSL or any other Udupi CSL units/project sites, and candidates are liable to be transferred anywhere in India or abroad.
- SC/ST candidates appearing for document verification are eligible for single to & fro sleeper class rail/bus fare reimbursement as per company rules.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
