Experience Requirements
- Assistant General Manager (Contract cell): Minimum of 15 years managerial experience in sub-contracting, vendor development, purchasing, operations, or managing government tenders in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies/establishments.
- Assistant General Manager (Design): Minimum of 15 years managerial experience in Hull structure Design, Machinery outfit Design, or Hull outfit design of ships in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies/establishments.
- Manager (Hull): Minimum of 9 years managerial experience (for Degree holders) or 12 years managerial experience (for Diploma holders) in Hull, Outfitting, Heavy Fabrication, Erection functions in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies/establishments.
- Deputy Manager (Quality control): Minimum of 7 years managerial experience (for Degree holders) or 10 years managerial experience (for Diploma holders) in Quality Control of Outfitting, Machinery, Piping, Structural Outfit, or Fabrication functions in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, petrochemical companies, or marine-related companies/establishments.
- Deputy Manager (Electrical Design): Minimum of 7 years managerial experience (for Degree holders) or 10 years managerial experience (for Diploma holders) in Electrical Design Applications such as AutoCAD, Tribon, Aveva, or CADMATIC in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, petrochemical companies, or marine-related companies/establishments.

Selected candidates are also eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA at present 55.7%), House Rent Allowance (HRA at present 10%), Perks & Allowances (35%), Contributory Provident Fund, Accident Insurance coverage, Reimbursement of Medical expenses under Contributory Medical Insurance policy, leave encashment, and National Pension System as admissible.

Application fees must be remitted using online payment options (Debit card, Credit card, Internet Banking) available through the online application facility from 07 October 2026 to 9 November 2026.
UCSL Selection Process
The selection process includes a PowerPoint Presentation, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
- Work Experience in the relevant job/area: 40 marks
- Power Point Presentation on work experience: 30 marks
- Group Discussion: 10 marks
- Personal Interview: 20 marks
- Total: 100 Marks
Candidates provisionally shortlisted must deliver a PowerPoint Presentation (not exceeding 10 minutes) highlighting their work experience. Only candidates meeting the notified work experience and job requirements will be permitted to attend the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

- Complete the One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal.
- Log in and submit the online application between 07 October 2026 and 9 November 2026.
- Upload scanned copies of certificates for age, educational qualification, experience, caste, and a recent passport-size colour photograph.
- Pay the application fee of ₹ 1,000/- online using Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking (SC/ST candidates are exempted).
- Submit the application successfully and ensure the status shows "In process".
- Take a printout or save a soft copy of the submitted online application containing the unique registration number for future reference.

- Proof of age (Birth certificate / SSLC certificate)
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
- Experience certificates indicating date of joining and relieving (or Offer letter, latest Pay Slip, and CTC certificate / IT Form-16 for current employment)
- Caste certificate (for SC candidates in the prescribed format issued by Tahsildar)
- NDT Level 2 or ASNT Level 2 certificate (for Deputy Manager Quality Control)
- Discharge Certificate / Book / Pension Payment Order (for Ex-servicemen)
- Recent passport-size colour photograph
UCSL Important Instructions
- Candidates must ensure they meet eligibility requirements before submitting applications.
- Applications submitted direct or by any other mode will not be accepted.
- Applicants working in regular Government service or PSUs must upload a declaration (Annexure-I) and produce a No Objection Certificate before final selection.
- Ex-servicemen re-employed in Government service must submit an undertaking (Annexure-II).
- No hard copy of the application or certificates needs to be sent by post to Udupi Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
- Candidates appearing for Personal Interview are eligible for reimbursement of single to & fro third AC rail fare by the shortest route on production of proof and bank passbook details.
- Selected candidates will be placed at the minimum of the pay scale; pay protection will not be considered.
- Posting shall be at UCSL Malpe Unit or project sites as desired by UCSL, with liability to serve in any department, on-board ships, or units across India or abroad.
