SGMH Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 38 Senior Residents Doctors Posts

The posts are for Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Mangolpuri, Delhi. Qualification required: MBBS with P.G. Degree/Diploma/DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized University/Institution and registration with Delhi Medical Council (or proof of having applied). Who Can Apply for SGMH Recruitment 2026?

Other conditions:

• Registration with Delhi Medical Council, or proof of having applied for it at the time of walk-in-interview
• OBC reservation for OBC from Delhi only; only OBC certificates issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi accepted
• OBC candidates need a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for the current financial year
• Candidates already in govt. service should submit a NOC from their employer

Who Cannot Apply for SGMH Recruitment 2026

• Candidates who have completed 03 years Senior Residency in any recognized institution on Regular or Ad-hoc basis, except under the relaxation for shortage specialties

Senior Resident (Pathology) (2 posts)

Qualification required: MBBS with P.G. Degree/Diploma/DNB in concerned specialty; DMC registration. Age limit: 45 years for General. Pay: Pay matrix level 11, Rs. 67700-2,08,700 plus allowances.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Ad-hoc appointment for 89 days or till the regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier
• Extension up to a maximum of 03 years subject to satisfactory performance, conduct report from HOD and written request from the doctor
• Total Senior Resident tenure is three years including earlier Senior Resident service
• Appointments from the second merit list are for one year only and not renewable
• If a PG SR joins against a seat filled by a non-PG SR, Last come First out rule applies
• Selected candidates must join within 07 working days of the offer letter or the offer is cancelled

How Will SGMH Select Candidates?

• Walk-in interview
• Selection through walk-in-interview only
• Separate merit lists for fresh candidates and for those who have completed 3 years senior residency
• Fresh candidates' list exhausted first; second list used only after that
• If interviews are not completed, they continue on the next working day or a fresh date is announced

• DOB certificate (10th certificate/marksheet) and caste certificate
• MBBS marksheet and degree/certificate and internship completion certificate
• DMC registration (MBBS)
• PG Degree/Diploma marksheet and certificate and attempt certificate
• Aadhar card; all original certificates and testimonials

How to Apply for SGMH Recruitment 2026

1. Fill the application form for the post of Senior Resident enclosed with the notice and paste a recent passport size photograph.
2. Complete the enclosed checklist and attach self-attested copies of certificates in the checklist order.
3. Report at 4th Floor Conference Hall, Administrative Block, SGM Hospital on 16.11.2026 between 9 AM and 12 PM for registration.
4. Bring the documents in photocopy and original; entry is not allowed after 12 PM.
5. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Other Points to Note

• Result on www.health.delhigovt.nic.in result section, SGM hospital website and notice board
• Acceptance of offer to be sent within 48 hours of result by e-mail to [email protected]
• No TA/DA for appearing in the interview
• Hostel accommodation is not mandatory and is subject to availability
• Number of vacancies is tentative and may vary without notice
• Selected candidates must undertake not to work at any other Government or Private Health Care Facility during tenure
