Selection Process

Candidates are selected through a walk-in interview at the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, NIT Srinagar. The institute can select or reject any candidate without giving a reason. Canvassing in any form makes a candidate ineligible.

Service Conditions

• The job is purely temporary. It lasts 11 months, or until the regular faculty joins the department, whichever is earlier.
• The selected candidate must sign an agreement to serve the institute on the terms and conditions the institute sets.
• The fixed remuneration of Rs. 65,000/- per month is paid for active duty on this assignment.
• Selected candidates must join immediately and be physically present at the posting station.
• NIT Srinagar does not provide accommodation, so selected candidates must arrange their own stay.
• This engagement gives no right to claim continued employment or a permanent post in future.
• The institute may defer or cancel the notice at any stage without giving reasons.
