The Kerala State Science & Technology Museum (KSSTM) is filling 2 posts of Junior Mentors on contract at Regional Science Centre, Chalakkudy, on a consolidated pay of Rs. 37,000 per month. Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Educational Qualification

The candidates should have minimum Master's degree in Science / Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1st class in the branches: Life Sciences / Physical Sciences / Robotics / Computer Science / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics or Equivalent discipline.

Experience

• 1 year experience in good teaching/research/industry background.
• Preference shall be given to candidates having lab/R&D/industry/experience in Startup/incubation.
• Passion for conducting investigative/innovative projects or model making/design activities/experiment specifically with students.

Age Limit

30 years as on the date of this notification. The notice does not print a minimum age or any age relaxation.

Duration of Engagement

The engagement is initially for a period of 1 year, depending on the requirement of the innovation hub. It may be extended on mutually agreed terms based on satisfactory performance, subject to a maximum of 2 more years.

Enclosures

• Self-attested copies of certificates in support of date of birth and educational qualifications.
• Self-attested copy of the graduation/degree certificate along with the detailed mark sheet and other higher degrees.
• Self-attested copies of experience certificates.

The form also asks for details of computer knowledge, training attended, any other relevant information, two references and a list of enclosures. It carries a declaration signed by the applicant.

Selection Process

Depending on the number of candidates, there may be a written test and interview, or interview only, for selection. Candidates will be informed of the test or interview. They have to attend at their own expense, and no TA/DA will be disbursed. The notice does not print the test syllabus, marks or date.

Important Instructions

• An application without self-attested copies of documents will be summarily rejected.
• The notice says no application fee is to be remitted.
• In the declaration, the applicant states that there are no vigilance/criminal cases pending against him or her.
• If any information is found false or incorrect, the candidature will be summarily rejected or employment terminated.
• If selected, the applicant must be ready to attend duties even on holidays as per requirement of the Museum, against a weekly/compensatory off.
