The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) invites applications for the Bihar Library Eligibility Test (BLET) 2026. Graduates with a Library Science degree can apply online from 01 October to 31 October 2026. The exam is scheduled between 19 November and 10 December 2026.

Bihar Library Eligibility Test BLET
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens and residents of Bihar. Candidates must have a Graduation degree with at least 45% marks from a recognized university. A 5% relaxation in the minimum marks is applicable to SC/ST, EBC/BC, PwD, women, and EWS candidates who are residents of Bihar. Candidates may also appear in the School Librarian Eligibility Test if they possess the qualifications prescribed under the Bihar School Librarian (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) Rules, 2025. Degrees such as Aalim from Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna/Bihar State Madrasa Education Board and Shastri from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University will be treated as equivalent to Graduation. Candidates must also possess a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
