National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR) Bhopal offers this Post Doctoral Fellowship specifically focused on the Indian Knowledge Systems (भारतीय ज्ञान परम्परा) tradition. The fellowship aims to promote advanced, high-quality research connecting traditional knowledge with modern research approaches in disciplines such as Indian Philosophy, Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedas, Sanskrit, Indian Literature, and Science.

Who Can Apply

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Doctorate (PhD) in a relevant field such as Indian Philosophy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedas, Sanskrit, Indian Literature, Science, or other disciplines related to Indian Knowledge Systems.
• The doctoral research must be focused on topics related to the Indian Knowledge System.

Research Experience and Requirements

• Experience in conducting advanced, high-quality research post-PhD.
• Ability to undertake independent or collaborative research projects in the domain of Indian Knowledge Systems with demonstrated novelty and rigor.
• Research papers published in reputed national and international journals.
• Experience presenting research findings at conferences and seminars related to Indian traditional knowledge, with a strong command over Indian Knowledge Systems topics.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a research team, with an understanding of how to connect traditional knowledge with modern research approaches. Interest in teaching or mentoring may be preferred but is not always mandatory.

Age Limit and Relaxations

The upper age limit is 35 years. As per Government of India guidelines, a five-year age relaxation shall be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories, women, and persons with disabilities, as applicable under relevant rules.

Pay and Tenure

Selected candidates will receive consolidated fellowship remuneration based on their academic submission status:

• Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated): For candidates with awarded degrees.
• Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated): For candidates who have submitted the thesis, but the degree has not yet been awarded.
