Zilla Parishad Nagpur Medical Officer Eligibility 2026

Age Limit

You must not be older than 57 years. You can prove your age with a school leaving certificate (TC) or a birth certificate.

Qualification

• BAMS. Bring the mark sheets for every year of your BAMS and of any PG degree or diploma. In the online form, enter only your final-year marks.
• A degree certificate and, if you have one, a PG degree or diploma certificate.
• A valid, regular registration certificate from the Medical Council is mandatory.
• A PG degree counts only if the Additional Qualification has been updated on your registration certificate.

Experience

The notice accepts government service experience only when the appointing authority has signed the certificate. Examples are the Chief Executive Officer, the Civil Surgeon, the District Health Officer, the Medical Officer of Health of a Municipal Corporation, or another appointing authority. Certificates signed by a Taluka Health Officer or a Medical Superintendent are not accepted.

Who Cannot Apply

• Contract medical officers now working in Nagpur district need a favourable performance report from the Medical Officer of their Primary Health Centre and from the Taluka Health Officer.
• Candidates from within or outside the district who have complaints against them, or who were removed from work for poor performance, will not be put on the eligible list.
• Medical officers who were absent without permission, who took part in a strike, or who were removed from government service through disciplinary action cannot apply.

Selection Process

Selection is based on merit and has these stages: online application, verification of original documents, a provisional merit list, objections, a final merit list, and counselling.

Document Verification Schedule

Verification takes place at Abasaheb Khedkar Sabhagruh, Zilla Parishad Nagpur, from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Your day depends on your application number.

After verification, the provisional merit list will appear on the website. Objections must be submitted with supporting proof. The final merit list will be published on the website, and candidates at serial numbers 1 to 100 must report to the Health Department, Zilla Parishad Nagpur, for counselling. The committee's decision at counselling is final.

Service Conditions

• The appointment is temporary and ad hoc, on contract, for 11 months.
• Candidates on the merit list who are not selected go on a waiting list for 1 year. They will be called from that list as posts fall vacant.
• If any political party applies direct or indirect recommendation or pressure for a candidate, that candidate will be declared ineligible without prior notice and removed from work.
