Salary and Allowances

Candidates in service who join on deputation, and direct recruits below the age of 60, are paid at level 20 of the pay matrix under the "Tripura State Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2018". This corresponds to Pay Band Rs. 37400-67000 (HAG + Scale), and the minimum basic pay is Rs. 118500. The company also pays these allowances:

Retired candidates, and candidates above 60, get Rs. 1,00,000 per month on a consolidated basis. This amount is not linked to any pension from earlier service. Both pay options may be revised by the Government or the Corporation from time to time.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 65 (sixty five) years, counted as on the last date for receipt of applications (30 November 2026). The notice says this limit may be relaxed for a deserving candidate.

Educational Qualification (mandatory)

You need a consistently good academic record and one of these qualifications:

• At least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale where grading is used) in a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or Personal Management, or an MBA with specialisation in Human Resource Management or Personal Management. The university must be recognised by the UGC.
• First class in a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialisation in Human Resource Management or Personal Management. The institution must be recognised by the AICTE.

Experience (mandatory)

You need at least 20 (twenty) years of working experience in industry or a profession at managerial level. The experience must cover human resource planning, recruitment and selection, employee training and development, employee counselling and grievance handling, building and managing an HR information system, industrial relations with stakeholders, and day-to-day HR work. For a deserving candidate, the 20-year requirement may be reduced.

Preferred

Preference goes to candidates with experience in the power sector of a Central Government organisation, State Government organisation, Central PSU or State PSU.

Job Description

The General Manager (HR) will work as a staff manager. They will report to the Managing Director until a higher post is created in the HR wing. The duties are:

• Develop and carry out HR strategies that fit the overall business strategy
• Act as the link between management and employees on demands, grievances and other issues
• Manage recruitment and selection
• Develop, engage, motivate and retain staff to meet current and future business needs
• Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation
• Build a positive working environment
• Oversee a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Maintain the pay plan and benefits programme
• Assess training needs and run and monitor training programmes
• Report to management and support decisions with HR metrics
• Make sure HR management follows the law

Selection Process

Selection is by interview only, and only shortlisted candidates are called. If shortlisting is needed, it may be based on a written test, academic records, higher qualifications or experience. The decision of the Screening Committee and the Appointing Authority on shortlisting is binding. No T.A. or D.A. is paid for attending the interview.

Service Conditions

• The appointment is on contract for 3 (three) years. The appointing authority may extend it by mutual consent.
• There is no pension from the Government of Tripura or TPGL. EPF benefits are available if the employee wants them and they apply.
• Either side can end the contract with 30 days' notice or 1 (one) month's salary.
• Other service conditions are the same as for Tripura State Civil Service Officers of the equivalent grade.
• A Government of Tripura officer appointed on deputation stays under the service conditions of their original job.
• Documents and antecedents may be checked at any time. If documents are found to be fake or past history has been hidden, the appointee's service will be terminated.
