RRC NR Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 2 Drama Artist, Kathak Dancer and More Posts

The posts are for Anywhere over Northern Railway. Qualification required: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Drama (Acting) or Classical Kathak Dance from a Govt. recognized institute, plus 12th with 50% marks, or Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship or ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT. The pay is Level-2 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC, at the minimum of the scale of pay. The application fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refunded on actually appearing in the written examination) for All candidates except those below. Selection is by written Test / Computer / Tablet Based Test (CBT)/(TBT), practical Demonstration (Talent test) and document Verification. Vacancy Details, Age Limit and Pay

Age relaxation for all posts: SC/ST 5 years, OBC-Non Creamy Layer 3 years, Ex-Servicemen (more than 6 months service after attestation) Service rendered in Defence plus 3 years, PwD (40% and above) UR 10 years, OBC-NCL 13 years, SC/ST 15 years, Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 5 years, Serving Group C / erstwhile Group D Railway staff, casual labour and substitutes with 3 years service Up to 40 years of age (UR), 43 (OBC-NCL), 45 (SC/ST), Quasi-administrative offices of the Railway Length of service or 5 years, whichever is lower, Widowed, divorced or judicially separated women not remarried Up to 35 years of age (UR), 38 (OBC-NCL), 40 (SC/ST).

Who Can Apply for RRC NR Recruitment 2026?

Other conditions:

• Persons appointed as Clerk-cum-Typist must acquire typing at 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within two years of appointment
• Candidates already in Govt. service must apply with NOC from the employer
• Applicants must bring their own musical instrument or cultural uniform for the Practical Demonstration
• No relaxation in Education and Cultural qualification is permissible

Desirable:

• Valid certificate showing experience in the field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
• Valid certificate showing prizes won in competitions held at National Level by concerned Academy / recognized by Government

Who Cannot Apply for RRC NR Recruitment 2026

• Candidates debarred for life from RRB/RRC examinations, or debarred for a period not yet completed, need not apply

Pay and Terms of Engagement

Level-2 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC, at the minimum of the scale of pay; no amount is printed.

• Probation of 2 years
• Training as per the requirement of the post
• Appointment at the minimum of scale of pay in the Pay Matrix

How Will RRC NR Select Candidates?

• Written Test / Computer / Tablet Based Test (CBT)/(TBT)
• Practical Demonstration (Talent test)

• Written test: 50 objective questions, 50 marks, 1 hour, bilingual (Hindi and English)
• Talent test in the relevant field with practical demonstration: 35 marks
• Testimonial/Prizes etc.: 15 marks
• Candidates up to 5 times the vacancies called for Practical Demonstration and Document Verification on merit
• Medical fitness as per the Medical Classification prescribed for the post

RRC NR Exam Pattern 2026

• Negative marking: 1/3 of the marks for the question deducted for every wrong answer
• Minimum 40% marks in the written examination to be eligible for the next stage; relaxation for reserved category as per Railway Board Rules
• Question paper bilingual; candidates choose Hindi or English in the application form

1. Apply online through www.rrcnr.org between 06.11.2026 and 06.12.2026.
2. Tick the box at the end of the notification undertaking that you have read the notification and instructions.
3. Click APPLY ONLINE and choose Login for already registered candidates or New Registration.
4. Complete the dashboard parts: Registration Form, Application Form, Payment of Examination Fee, Uploading Documents, Online Payment Details Print, Application Details/Print.
5. Upload photo, signature, thumb impression and the required certificates.
6. Complete the application in all respects within the last date.

Other Points to Note

• Expected date of online written examination and assessment of talent: January 2027
• Date, time and venue of the test and Practical Demonstration/DV will be displayed on www.rrcnr.org
• No TA/DA/accommodation; SC/ST candidates with proper community certificate get free travel authority (2nd class)
• Original documents with one set of self-attested photocopies to be brought on the day of document verification
• No post is reserved for SC, ST and OBC; all posts open to all candidates
