Selection Process

Management may introduce additional stages if considered necessary. Meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not give a right to be called for interview.

  • Document verification takes place at the Corporation's Head Office at Kolkata, on the date and time sent to the candidate's registered e-mail. Missing it is treated as unwillingness to continue, and the candidate is not considered further.
  • All original documents must be produced at verification. Otherwise the candidate cannot appear for the interview and Travelling Allowance is not reimbursed.
  • Only original documents that were submitted along with the application are considered. Submitting any additional, fresh or revised document leads to rejection of the candidature.
  • Candidates presently working in Central or State Govt., PSUs, PSBs or autonomous bodies, including nationalised banks and financial institutions, in a permanent, regular or contractual role must furnish a hard copy of a No Objection Certificate at verification. It must be dated on or after the release of this notification, and no such candidate can appear without it.
  • Tie breaker: if candidates secure the same marks, rank or position in the final merit list, the older candidate gets the higher rank.
  • Scores are reported with decimal points up to two digits.
  • Candidates may be considered for a lower post (E1) if otherwise suitable, depending on qualifications, experience, present position and interview performance.
  • JCI may prepare a Panel/Waiting List based on interview performance, valid for one year from publication of the result. Inclusion gives no right to appointment.
  • Candidates not shortlisted or not selected will not be told the status of their candidature.

Travelling Allowance

  • Outstation candidates who qualify for the Document Verification stage are reimbursed to-and-fro AC 3-Tier rail fare by the shortest route, on submission of valid tickets.

  • Payment is made only through ECS after the selection process ends, so bring bank details or proof, such as a passbook or cancelled cheque.

  • The post carries the liability of transfer to any of the locations.
  • The selected candidate may be assigned other responsibilities in the Corporation's interest.
  • The selected candidate must be medically fit and must undergo the necessary medical examination at his/her own cost before joining.
  • A person who does not join after selection will be debarred from any other position in the Corporation for a minimum of 02 years from the date of selection.
